About Arcwell
Arcwell is a single-player VR puzzle game about reading gravity. Every mission is a small solar system set out in front of you: planets, moons, black holes and a target. Grip your rocket, aim, choose a launch speed and let go. Gravity does the rest. Spend limited fuel on short boosts and brakes to correct the flight, or retry with a better line.
The direct route rarely works. Across 59 orbital missions you will slingshot around worlds, thread counter-rotating orbits, throw rocks to move the field and dive through black holes whose lensing bends the light around them. Daily and seeded challenges add fresh routes to discover.
Precision docking changes the pace. Take the remote pilot controls in 24 docking missions and use small thruster inputs and onboard camera views to correct drift, align with the port and ease into contact.
Between flights, the Observatory is home: pick your next mission at the gravity loom, try the instruments, or open Playground to create, resize and throw planets just to see what happens.
Key features
- Gravity you can hold Missions sit at table scale in front of you, then expand around you for the flight. Read the field from any angle before you launch.
- Aim. Release. Refine. A physical grip-and-release launch, then short boosts and brakes with limited fuel. A miss is just another route to try.
- Black holes Real-time gravitational lensing and black-hole transits open routes you didn’t see coming.
- Precision docking 24 remote-pilot missions with onboard cameras, drift, keyed collars and soft contact.
- Playground Create, grow, move and throw planets. Save the worlds you build.
- Daily and seeded challenges A new puzzle every day, plus shareable seeds for friendly competition.
- Offline and private No account, no ads, no analytics. Progress stays on your headset.
Story angles
- A solo-developed VR game where the physics is the puzzle: no timers, no combat, just gravity.
- Black holes rendered with real-time gravitational lensing on a standalone headset.
- A rare VR docking simulator built around remote cameras and patience rather than speed.
- A US$9.99 game with no account, no ads, no analytics and no in-app purchases.

Reviewer’s guide
- Start here
- Arcwell opens in the Observatory. Choose training at the gravity loom to learn aiming, launching and reading the field.
- First half hour
- Play the opening missions, then try a black-hole level (Side Door is a good example) and the Daily challenge.
- Change of pace
- Open Precision docking for remote-pilot missions with onboard cameras.
- Free play
- Playground is the best place for showy footage: grow planets, throw them and watch orbits form.
- Recording
- Quest’s built-in recording and casting work in Arcwell. Slow, deliberate head movement reads best on video. Quest can also record vertical video for Shorts and Reels.
